Michael Dan Archer has been invited to attend sculpture symposia throughout the world. Working alongside other internationally recognised and emerging artists, he has produced large scale works for sculpture parks and public spaces.

In 2019 Dan participated in the international sculpture symposium in Ettenheim in the Black Forest in Germany.

In 2004 Dan attended The Horice Stone Sculpture Symposium in the Czech Republic. He was one of 5 international artists invited to attend this long established biennial symposium

Dan Archer was invited alongside a number of other international sculptors to make a work in the Barossa valley.
Oggleshausen Sculpture Symposium, Germany
Dan was invited to attend to make an art work for a special symposium of 10 international sculptors in 2000.
Rheinfeldplatz Sculpture Symposium, Kaiserlauten, Germany
Dan attended this stone symposium in 2007 where he made a work in two parts which is located on a sculpture trail on the edge of a forest.
KK-VB STONE STIPENDIAT, BOHUSLANS, SWEDEN
In 1998 Dan was awarded a stipend to attend the sculpture community in Bohuslans in Sweden. Working in the granite quarry he made a major artwork from local granite which was placed within a public square on the waterfront.
